GUIDES
Last updated: October 11, 2026HYBRID PRODUCTION EXPLAINED
Hybrid production is a way of making visuals that combines AI-generated model images with your real product, with a person directing and approving every step. This guide explains how it works, how it differs from a traditional shoot, and who it suits.
01In short: what is hybrid production?
A traditional fashion shoot needs a model, a stylist, a photographer, a studio and a shoot day. In hybrid production part of that chain runs on AI, but the decisions stay with people.
Here is how it works: expert photographers set up pose, style and lighting and create model images with AI. Your product enters the system through a ghost mannequin shoot. The product image and the model image are combined with AI, so your product appears in its real form, placed into the pose and style of the model image.
The result is campaign and e-commerce imagery that shows your product in a natural setting, without organizing a model shoot.
02Who does what: the human side and the technology side
What makes hybrid production trustworthy is being clear about who owns each task.
- People: creative direction and styling, a licensed reference and model network, final quality control and approval.
- Technology: producing variations at scale, formatting for each channel.
AI is the technical step that brings speed and scale. People decide which pose and style to use and which image gets delivered.
03The process: five steps from brief to delivery
- 1. Brief. We analyze the brand, audience and collection. Scope and timeline are agreed.
- 2. System design. Moodboard, styling rules and visual language are defined in one document. It becomes the production standard for that brand.
- 3. Production. Model images are created through our Ø system and your product is placed into them.
- 4. Human review. Our creative team checks and approves every image one by one for product accuracy, brand consistency and commercial quality.
- 5. Delivery. Files optimized for each channel are delivered with usage rights and credits.
Your only task is to shoot your product on a ghost mannequin. You can do it yourself and send it, or have our team do it.
04Why hybrid? The benefits
- Speed. A process that takes days or weeks in traditional production comes down to hours, without giving up human control.
- Scale. With the same system definition, every product in a collection, its variations and channel formats are produced consistently.
- Cost. Without a model, a studio and a shoot day to organize, budgets become more predictable.
- Consistency. Each brand has a single visual-language document and production follows it.
- Control. Every delivered image has been approved by a person.
05Let us be clear about the limits
AI can get things wrong: a wrong color, a wrong proportion or an unexpected result can happen. That is why in hybrid production no image is delivered before our creative team has reviewed it. Technology speeds processes up; it complements experience and industry knowledge rather than replacing them.
Hybrid production is not the right answer to every need either. If you want to document a specific person’s face, the unique atmosphere of a place or an event, shooting with a real camera is still the best method. We do those shoots too, and we decide together which method suits you.
06Model images and permissions
The model images we use are licensed with the consent of the people concerned, and their visual identities are protected. You can choose a fully AI-generated model, or a model from our pool of licensed real models who have agreed to their images being used.
07Who is it for?
- Fashion and e-commerce brands: for campaign, product and catalog imagery.
- Brands that release new collections often and need many product images.
- Teams that do not want to organize a model and a studio for every shoot.
- Anyone who needs the same image in different formats for different channels (web, social, ads, marketplaces).
08Frequently asked questions
Is hybrid production the same as fully AI-generated imagery?
No. In hybrid production your product enters the system in its real form, and creative direction and approval stay with people. AI is the technical step that combines the images correctly.
How do I send my product?
You can shoot your product on a ghost mannequin and send it, or have our team do that shoot.
Do the model images belong to real people?
Either a fully AI-generated model, or a model from our pool of licensed real models who have given permission. The visual identity of the people used is protected.
Who checks each image?
Our creative team checks and approves every image one by one for product accuracy, brand consistency and commercial quality. An image that is not approved is not delivered.
Do you also shoot with a real camera?
Yes. We offer photo and video production, content production, websites, social media management and advertising in one team.
